英语原诗里面字数和韵脚都比较松散,看起来似乎并不像我们所理解有严格格式的诗歌。 美国人开创的自由律体,追求的就是形散意不散,尾韵头韵并用。 目前来说网上能找到的翻译版本都更多按照原文的“意”来翻译,而忽略了“形”。 这次的翻译尝试尽力保留了诗歌的形式,原诗里的尾韵和头韵都在翻译作品中尽量匹配。
