Familiarize yourself with the Ultimaker Cura slicer, from installation to its features and tools, as well as more advanced features such as 3D slicing and configuring 3D printer settings and profiles.
So I ran Cura as my regular user (no sudo) and the sign in process worked flawlessly. So make sure you're running Cura from an accountwithoutsuperuser privileges. The verification code it's generated is probably trying to be stored in your user folder, which won't work as root....
Actually, converting old profiles is probably not a huge problem. In the configuration folders they are stored with a different file for each extruder. There is a problem of what you'd do with the global section of those profiles though. That's the same problem as what I wrote down under...
Also I'm a very fast typist so asking you to post the file is easier than finding it myself, lol (I'm always forgetting where the files are stored). Also you would be helping other people who are reading this thread (like tinkergnome) save a few seconds of their time as well. ...
If one creates a custom profile in Cura, it will get this extension, but those are not stored in the program folder, but in the config folder of the current user. And the config folder has no subfolder "Resources"...? I must admit, that I've only experiences with the Windows version...
