On several occasions, the crown will not zoom the map in/out in Map Only mode. On one occasion, I was able to access the map inside an ongoing activity and the problem was solved. However, I just tried this again after a reboot of the watch and I can't get the crown to work in...
It's good that you don't mind the need to wake the screen first but I am expecting complaints about that and the fact that it won't work when using low power mode. Hopefully people will understand that these limitations are due to watchOS, and that they make sense because of the power...

It only uses around 5 % of battery per hour while a hiking workout with a downloaded map and track on the watch while the watch is in low power mode, which results in maximum workouttimes of around 18-20 hours. Quite awesome in my opinion! Reactions: zach471, cfc and harris.papa...
As I said in another post, I wrote a simple app that pulls your location using unofficial APIs used by find.icloud.com to build a breadcrumb map but it only refreshes every 2mins so it's not the greatest. Hmm, I haven't tested this while tracking an activity, maybe it would refresh...
