The only real way to open files that are unsupported by the software you are using isto convert the file type into one that is supported. Conversion ensures that the file remains intact and you can still open it with the program you want. You can do this with online conversion websites....

Just by replacing those file, the Japanese IM worked, however after messing around with it a little bit I am still seeing some strange symbols popping up following by a crash of the JapaneseIM... But I can still type some simple sentences in Japanese without any problems. Yay! ---...
