Well, possibly, but the true difference is that the two countries use different temperature scales. The United States favors theFahrenheitscale, in which 37° is wintry. Canadians, and most of the world, use theCelsiusscale, in which 37° is equivalent to 98.6° Fahrenheit—body temperature!

That's because in computers, safe and dangerous temperature ranges are defined in centigrade, so there is absolutely no reason to use Fahrenheit.
