2018年5月31日收盘后， A股正式纳入MSCI新兴市场指数（MSCI EMERGING MARKETS INDEX）。按照此前承诺，MSCI将对所有纳入指数的公司进行ESG评级。MSCI根据从公开渠道收集到的ESG数据，对被评公司ESG绩效和管理水平打分。基于同行业表现对比，被评公司的ESG得分会按照一定标准对应到CCC、B、BB、BBB、A、AA、AAA七个等级。
