Give it a couple days: check it out, see if size/weight works for you (to me 150mm Mak is perfect size). If you like it and speck is still on there, return it for another (you get 30 days with Amazon). All the Synta 150mm Maks are “good”. Jeff alnitak22 and Mr...

Well just to add if you would to like to know the quality of the 150mm maksutov optics.and what thay are capable of approximately 3 years ago when I owned the skywatcher (synta) on par with the celestron,Orion USA equivalents.i took this simple snap shot of the moon in useing this ve...
I own the Skywatcher 180mm Mak. It is a very good planetary scope. It's pretty good on deepsky objects. It might keep up with your 10" Starfinder on planets (or beat it), but it will fall behind on deepsky. Use a decent 2" diagonal with it, and you will find it easy...

I have the 150mm Skywatcher MAK which has the same dovetail and same attachment method. The dovetail is screwed to the OTA body with two screws (M4 i think) and fastened by two ordinary machine nuts inside the OTA. I would never use ordinary nuts instead of lock nut...
Agree with this poster’s response and have a few amplifying thoughts. I have a SkyWatcher 150mm Mak-Cass (f/12). It fits into a niche between my refractors and my C-8 (see signature description below). Very good optics and came well collimated - visual images of Mars, Jupiter an...
