2000年日本实施了介护保险制度,日本的介护一词译自英文Care,因为英文的Nursing在日本一直翻译为看护在中国则翻译成护理。因此日文的介护就不能翻译为护理,只会翻译成照护或照顾或照料。自然Long Term Care(LTC) 最应该翻译为是长期照护或长期照顾而不是长期护理(参考下英德日中对应表)。
