在加入iG前,Kim教练就有着多年的执教经验,他的履历也堪称传奇。在2015年,Kim带领名不见经传的韩国"网吧队"EVER,先后斩获了Kespa杯冠军以及IEM10克隆站的冠军,在K杯中更是战胜了在当年全球总决赛中以统治级表现夺冠的SKT。随后,他带领Ever完成三连跳,杀入LCK职业联赛,EVER战队随后也改名为BBQ。
