camera model has a default minimum depth sensing value in meters. On D435 / D435i it is 0.1, on D415 is it 0.3 and on D455 it is 0.4. So it makes sense for the example that you quoted to use a minimum depth value of 0.11 (meters) if it was designed for D435 / D435i. ...
