PETG is your best bet. Transparent PETG is easy to find and it prints better than transparent versions of PLA and ABS will. Post-processing is still required if you want an actually transparent final print, however.
Karl here…just want to do a little post about bed adhesion and what I have been doing for the past month. What spurred this is I saw a ton of videos on Magigoo a while back. It is a product that you wipe on your glass/mirror bed and 3D prints stick very well to it and once ...
While not as commonly available as filaments such asPLA,ABSorPETG, polypropylene is slowly expanding its variety and availability in the market, and becoming more affordable for consumers. Hobbyists can expand their printing options as PP is a great practical option for producing prototypes that ar...
ABS, PETG, etc.). This is to ensure that no foreign materials will cause your parts to explode and fail during the debind and sintering process.
PET CF is especially suited to annealing due to its semi-crystalline structure. Many 3D printing polymers such asABSandPETGhave an amorphous structure which means the polymer chains within them are arranged in a chaotic way. Similar to a bowl of spaghetti on a molecular scale. Crystalline struct...
Superglue -Superglue is an adhesive used to bond and attach a variety of materials. It is a strong, fast-drying glue often used for difficult-to-bond materials such as metal, glass, and plastic. The popular glue is often used withPLA, ABS & PETG, the more rigid materials. It is not ...
Nylon, TPU and even PETG are an entirely different matter. When some of these filaments are left unwrapped for even 24 hours, they can pick up enough moisture to cause a failure. Stay On the Cutting Edge: Get the Tom's Hardware Newsletter ...
Another great option is theGarolite G10 3D printer bed. It grips PETG and PLA filament well without adhesive, and cleaning is easy too. Resin 3D Prints Not Sticking to the Bed You could also have adhesion issues even when using one of thebest resin 3D printersaround. To avoid this problem...
PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol) ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) Chemical Resistance– Chemical resistance is the ability of a material to counter degradation or damage when exposed to certain chemicals or chemical environments. This measurement varies by chemica...
This nozzle material provides good thermal conductivity and stability. Keep in mind that while it's the most common, it can't handle all types of filaments. Brass nozzles are best for non-abrasive filaments including PLA, ABS, Nylon, PETG, TPU, and more....
