The cpus should have a tpm module integrated, but I read in a few places that they could make problems with bios updates in combination with secureboot. If you want to be 100% safe get a tpm module. I'm not sure if Epyc has fTPM like Ryzens do...
On my board I can't get the BMC to update the information on BIOS but the flash actually goes in and POST screens show the updated version and work as usual. Have you tried reseating the CPU? What board revision are you on?R
