1 REPLY Ecmslee Level 9 05-26-202207:42 PM Gsync monitors should at least show a picture when connected to an AMD GPU. Apparently newer Gsync monitors with a so-called V2 Gsync module can also enable adaptive sync on AMD.
So if your Dell G-Sync Monitor has VRR it will work with your AMD GPU card. But it won't be able to use the full G-Sync features though. It seems that NVIDIA definitely is loosing up on the topic, this round offering support for HDMI-VRR and adaptive sync over HDMI and/or display...

I've been using the stock one that came with the monitor. The Club3D one that I ordered has just arrived, I'll try it in the morning when I get home from work. FoulOnWhite said: I'm using a bundled cable with the same display, so i thnik i might have to try a better one...
When using FreeSync with a supported NVIDIA graphics card via the G-SYNC Compatible mode, LFC behaves a bit differently than it does with AMD cards. LFC gets triggered regardless of the monitor’s FreeSync range. Further, the LFC threshold is usually different when using an NVIDIA GPU. For ...
They are literally the same tech just that G-Sync utilizes an FPGA module by Nvidia while Adaptive Sync is implemented in an ASIC by the monitor vendor. FreeSync is an AMD marketing term. I'm not sure what you want Nvidia to call their own? Rich_Guy said: ↑ Yep, got people ...
My understanding is that it causes screen tearing if there's a fixed refresh rate (because the monitor does not support adaptive sync, or because there's a compositor with a fixed refresh rate). If the app is talking straight to the video drivers with nothing else in the way (exclusive ...
Stfu and look at the other topics. Everyone has this problem, so stfu if you don't understand what I'm talking about. Now I'm just waiting for the new AMD GPUs, because they don't have such probmels with their FreeSync. Nvidia can't fix this for 2-3 years and they don't care...
