CO2-emissions from human activities have caused the concentration of carbon dioxide in the Earth’s atmosphere to go up from around 275 parts per million (ppm) before the industrial revolution to over 410 in 2020. A 50 % increase. According to the UN, greenhouse gas concentrations are rising...

The global atmospheric CO2 concentration averaged over 2023 reached 419.31 ± 0.1 ppm. Preliminary data for 2024 suggest an increase in EFOS relative to 2023 of + 0.8 % (- 0.2 % to 1.7 %) globally and an atmospheric CO2 concentration increase by 2.87 ppm, reaching 422.45 ppm, 52 % above ...

(1) for ease of interpretation. Aβof 1 represents direct proportionality between the GPP CO2response and the change in CO2. Note that to avoid undue influence of year-to-year variability in GPP, we estimated GPP(t) and GPP(t0) on the basis of a linear regression fit to the GPP time...
Unit ppm denotes parts per million. Source data Extended Data Fig. 3 Meta-regressions between logarithm-transformed response ratios (LnRR) of variables for specific crop type and environmental factors. (a) LnRR of yield versus ΔCO2 for barley; (b) LnRR of yield versus MAT (mean annual ...
Last year, global annual average CO2concentrations reached 397.7 ppm, with last year’s increase close to the 10-year average. By 2016, the global average will probably exceed 400 ppm. Methane:this is the second most important long-lived greenhouse gas. Natural sources account for about 4...
6 presents a comparison of XCO2 distribution with histograms for CAMS, GOSAT, and OCO-3 in the panels along the diagonal. This information reveals the frequency of different XCO2 ppm values captured by each system. The overlapping period for the three datasets (CAMS, OCO-3, and GOSAT) is ...
My calculation of IR spectra for 300ppm and 600ppm using Planck spectra for CO2 alone. Also shown are the curves for 289K and 220K Spectrum taken from Nimbus ii over the equator. Note the fine structure at the centre of the CO2 absorption. There is a rise in effective temperature at th...
In 2005, global atmospheric concentrations of CO2 were 35% higher than they were before the Industrial Revolution. Even so, the percentage of CO2 in the atmosphere from ALL SOURCES; natural and anthropogenic are ONLY 387 PPM (parts per million) - that's ONLY 4% of 1% CO2 in the climate!
