I am opening this thread because I feel that intel has forgot about supporting the intel HD 3000 owners with 2 newer version APIs These being OpenGL 3.3 support and OpenCL 1.2 support (CPU) 1. I am desperately trying to find OpenCL 1.2 CPU runtime...
Interesting assumption but in reality they will loose clients who have bought intel products but were not supported by new hardware supported APIs features/technologies such as updating openGL 3.3 from openGL 3.1 and supporting windows 8.1 driver with wddm 1.3, or h...
The problem at the time was that only the Vulkan video driver could make use of these shaders. Therefore, if you were using the OpenGL video driver, you could not use the slang shaders but had to resort back to GLSL (or even Cg). This made it cumbersome to switch between v...
but for good reasons, it is not possible to go from an OpenGL function call to manipulating hardware states in a single step. Multiple translations must be done under the hood to convert those calls into something that the GPU can understand. ...

OpenGL is the method with which applications achieve 3D rendering under Linux. Unfortunately, but for good reasons, it is not possible to go from an OpenGL function call to manipulating hardware states in a single step. Multiple translations must be done under the hood to convert those calls in...
Before the anniversary update the OpenGL attributes are not changed after the window has been created. Perhaps this discrepancy is causing the wrong driver to be used which triggers the GDI Generic check? I suppose the solution is to recreate both the window and context if any OpenGL attributes...
For this error (A9 CPU not supported because cubemaps), getting Godot 4.2.1 to run on iPhone 6S (A9 CPU, ~10 years old) was possible by setting the mobile renderer to gl_compatibility. I don't have other details, I'm just evaluating Godot. ...
Fixed a bug that could cause some multi-threaded OpenGL applications, for example Civilization 6, to crash when running on Xwayland. Added support for querying Dynamic Boost status via the 'power' file in /proc/driver/nvidia/gpus/*.
