For different x values, the surface plot shows up but the slice plot just shows an empty wire rendering of my geometry with no values. Thanks Edit: The slice plot seems to work if I have it under 3D plot group 1 but not under 3D plot group 2. Any reason why this is so?
Some reasons for why these unphysical values occur:Numerical noise is a common cause. When the values of the dependent variables approach zero, the numerical noise can become relatively significant and cause some of the results to be slightly negative even if that is not physically possible. ?In...
instead of c, which evaluates to 0 everywhere where c is smaller than 0. You can also adjust the range of the plot data and colors to only show values that are nonzero. In the case that the data range changes, parts of the plots where the values are outside the range become empty....
A special case is the Convergence Plot window, an automatically generated Plot window that displays a graphical indication of the convergence of the solution process while a model is running. Additional surface plots are generated by default in the Temperature plot group of 3D models when the Thermal Contact or Thermal Insulation features are active on interior boundaries. This displays the different temperatures on both sides of such boundaries....

Running this script produces the results plot shown below. Temperature distribution in the heat sink for different fin configurations. Verifying Selections You can verify the settings that are included in a model by writing “model.selections”. MATLAB® software will write the names (tags) of th...

the best finite element approach as it minimizes the error of the calculated and exact solution. There is a lot more to cover on the topic of discretization, such as meshing and convergence. For now we’ll add the following plot, which could represent a bending membrane under a given load...
