I am having similar problems in C3D 2018 as well. I have a fairly simple grading drawing where running audit causes random feature lines to either disappear or lose their elevations. On my last job I avoided mixing corridors and feature lines altogether and did not have any ...

Stability when grip editing a Feature Line has been improved. Creating Feature Lines from objects when the objects are overlapping closed polylines no longer causes the application to close unexpectedly. The result is a 3D model that extrudes the specified assemblies along the desired path. Feature lines connect similar points from assembly to assembly. These feature lines establish the longitudinal edges of the 3D model. Individual points in the assembly may also be...

I would say "projection" grading can be finicky but gradings (infills and feature lines) IMHO are quite stable. I'd go as far as to say more stable than adding feature lines to a surfacce as breakline data. Try it you'LL like it - makes grading more like grading instead of model...
The only items to not rotate correctly were the corridor featurelines but they recreated correctly when I forced an update. Am I crazy to try and make this work? Thanks, Chuck Civil 3D 2006 SP2 Report 0 Likes Reply 4 REPLIES Message 2 of 5 nzeeben in reply to: Anonymous ...
quite a few engineers who know how to draw lines with Acad (from their 2 week course in college 10 years ago) who seem to think apps like Civil 3D don't require a bit more of skill to operate. Concepts like alignments/profiles/sections are all very basic, and are the foundation ...
