A telescope’s aperture also constrains the useful range of magnifications. The larger the aperture, the less the incoming light waves are rippled by the opening, and the more resolution the telescope has. If you use the right combination of barlows and eyepieces, any telescope can be brought...
As aperture increases the different performance of various eyepieces becomes easier to see, and into the 30"+ class starts to become night and day obvious. I use my Abbe Orthos a lot once I get over 500x because they afford a view that is far superior to what I see through my Delos....
There is never such a thing as a single, best planetary eyepiece for a telescope, because you need to be able to vary the magnification quite significantly to achieve the optimum result under varying conditions. And the best magnification for Jupiter is not the same as that for Mars or Satur...
If your focuser/diagonal will accept 2” eyepieces, then I will suggest you get one or two 2” eyepieces for your low power wide view purposes. Consider something between 35 and 40 mm in focal length with an AFOV of 65 degrees or wider for your lowest power eyepiece for your telescope...
10mm Delos. I thought the above eyepieces were sharp, but this one is scary. I see why it rated so high in the Ciel et Espace test. 18.2mm Delite: I thought I had astigmatism at this focal length. Nope. Contrast seems like a 6mm, sharpness is like an ortho, and it is simply mar...
or slightly more than 2mm. A 2mm exit pupil is useful for observing many deep sky objects. However, there's not a lot of difference between a 12mm eyepiece and the 10mm one supplied with the telescope, other than the possibility of a wider apparent field of view and enhanced eye relief....
--from the top of the eyepiece back at your eye --from the shiny cylinder of barrel directly above the eye lens But, I have to say, a perfect match for a scope like this: https://www.celestro...brass-telescope or this: http://moonrakertele...uildsabout.html ...
Page 1 of 7 - Best planetary eyepieces currently in production? - posted in Eyepieces: What is the best planetary eyepiece currently in production ? Some criteria: Must have more than 40° AFOV Must have at least 6mm eye relief Must be less than 400$ a
resell what I don't like ... and in the end it'd probably cost me very little. But with the pandemic going on, and sort of slim pickings in the used market to begin with, it's unlikely I am going to go CL hunting for telescope stuff. Somehow finding bargain eyepieces or mount ...
2.There are eyepiece kits, like the following (but I’ve been advised to stay away from kits). Should I consider them? -Apertura Ultimate Plossl Eyepiece Kit - $190 -Celestron 14 Piece Telescope Accessory Kit - Plossl Eyepieces, Barlow Lens, Colored Filters, Moon Filter, and Sturdy Carry...
