Pitch: DeepSkyStacker is a popular and user-friendly tool for stacking astrophotography images. It automates tasks like light, dark, flat, and bias frame integration, making it a valuable starting point for astrophotographers. While limited in post-processing capabilities, it provides clean, calibra...
I like SharpCap Pro. I bought the Pro license, and still use it sometimes. But I find its interface cluttered and confusing. And since I have a Paramount I have to use TheSkyX to control my mount anyway, so I generally just prefer to stick with it for EAA as well. Hope this helps!
This precision and stability will be achieved by using a single, frame-transfer, back-illuminated CCD detector at the focal plane assembly of a 33.5 cm diameter, on-axis Ritchey-Chrétien telescope. The nearly 275 kg spacecraft is nadir-locked, with a pointing accuracy of about 1 arcsec ...
In addition to SharpCap Pro, I use NINA at the same time, connected to a camera on a guide scope that I use for plate solving. This gets the target quite close to the slit. I fine tune the pointing using the camera looking through the ALPY guide module, which I also use with PHD2...
ASTROD I would be a start of a new era of probing the fundamental laws of spacetime and mapping solar-system of gravity together with fixing the dynamical reference frame and its links. In the second phase, three-spacecraft ASTROD (ASTROD II) would be envisaged to test general relativity to...
It is the period of the innermost stable orbit about the secondary black hole in the jet reference frame. Since the secondary disk is likely to overflow its Roche lobe, we may also find interesting X-ray emission from the ring in the primary disk where the overflow stream terminates, akin ...
The authors followed the kinetic evolution of the bulk elastic modulus G′ at various temperatures during tempering and the experimental data were interpreted within the frame of percolation theory. The variation of the coalescence rate with temperature provides an insight into the microscopic mechanism ...
These security cam oriented devices are mainly designed for fast frame refresh rate (e.g., catch a moving car's license plate even in the night while bright headlights on.) Thus many advanced features are centered around 1/30 sec or faster, not the long exposure astro applications we use....
Why is that? If not be special design, the image sensor readout will still be fast and simply cannot be slowed down/stopped at will (no frame buffer at disposal.) Think the scenario is similar to an Interstate highway with both the maximum andminimumspeed limit with no ...
(and probably towards the end) of the thirteenth century, a quadrant’s graduated arc of 90° is imagined as engraved onto the surface of a square-shaped copper plate that is fitted inside a wooden frame. The frame has a diameter of four cubits, which is supposed to be large enough to...
