But I have a lot of excellent pens, and an even greater number of good ones. So my inked pens are not always from among my favorites, or from the best. Sometimes I settle for good enough for a while, just for variety. And besides, I almost always have two or three pens inked, if...
my Rangas are all really good writers. This one comes with their stock Wality nibs (the Ranga Gajendras I have use a monster nib I got from Hari). The line is nice and wet, and the nib is very smooth. I like these pens so much that I've ordered 2 more, but with Jowo nib/f...
I've actually bought several piston brush pens years ago. Those were natural hair brush pens and the hair fell out rather quickly. And I remember the hair being quite soft and floppy so they are not great for drawing. The brush pens shown above seem to have better binding for the hair....
all of their pens are probably good. I absolutely believe you got two bad Lamy 2000s in a row. Pens should write, I totally agree, and at some price points a fixer upper might be acceptable for some and not for others, and at the price of the Lamy, besides the know...
By most counts,Dick Blickis about the most popular online art supply store around. With their combination of rock-bottom prices, good selection, great customer service, and free shipping for orders $200.00 or more (a depressingly easy-to-meet threshold when dealing with art supplies) Dick Blick...
I only ever owned cheap pens before, twsbi eco, pilot kakuno, metropolitan, lamy safari, my most expensive pens were Narwhal original (stolen :|) and sheafer 300 (gift!) and I don't like the sheafer due to it's terrible cap seal and feedbacky nib. one of my fav pens so far is...
Iroshizuku works great in my Pilots and Sailor, and is a perfect match for my Lamy 2000 EF and F pens. Hopefully the new ink will behave as well as the Tsukushi. Pen(s) in Rotation: Majohn A2 (Fine) - Montblanc Irish Green Parker "51" Aerometric (Broad,...
I'm looking to get a new pen with an Italic or cursive-italic nib. I very much like the nibs on the Lamy Joy, especially the 1.1mm. I've read that it's closer to a cursive Italic than it is to a stub. I've tried Jowo stubs, I don't mind them ...
I am trying to get down to only keeping ink in 2 or 3 pens at a time. I have a Lamy Studio with EF for general journal writing. I have a Lamy 2000 EF in my planner. I'll have a rotation of TWSBI Precision or Eco, Ranga, another 2000, a variety of others with italic type ni...
As I just hate wooden pencils - I stick to my Lamy Scribble .7, my Pentel Sharp .7, and my two sketch pencils made by JEB, a 5mm and 3mm. http://www.penturners.org/forum/signaturepics/sigpic14481_1.gifhttp://mob984.photobucket.com/albums/ae327/VintagePen/vanness.jpg?t=1321916122...
