聚乙烯咔唑又称乙烯基咔唑树脂.简称PVAC,是由咔唑和乙炔在碱性催化剂作用下反应生成乙烯咔唑,再进行乳液聚合而制得。粘均分子量104～3×106。无定形结构,微黄色或棕色透明玻璃状固体。相对密度1.20,玻璃化温度65℃,热变形温度100～150℃,具有较高的耐热性、耐水性和化学稳定性。电性能良好,脆性大,伸长率>0.3%。
