effectivestress(vm)的常用单位：L/mol，国际单位：m3/mol。effectivestress是指有效应力，是通过土颗粒间的接触面来传递的应力，也就是土体骨架所承担的应力，只有这种应力才使得土体变形，一般用σ'表示。vm是气体摩尔体积的意思，vm是目前国际上唯一被广泛采用的国际单位制的度量单位。vm分为常用单位和国际单位：L/mol、m3/mol。
